“Two Baltimore City women are serving up a new kind of kitchen concept. Both are set to open an affordable kitchen space available to new, up-and-coming chefs.

The women showed 11 News how the idea is also offering a taste of community.

Chefs Catina Smith and Kiah Gibian have been working together for more than five years

The pair are taking their decades of cooking experience, mixed in with an old 20th century building to welcome what will be called Our Time Kitchen.

"This was definitely born out of a need,” Smith said. "It isn't the prettiest, but we know that's superficial and we're going to make it pretty.”” -view the full video segment on WBAL
